Habitat and Description : This species has a short trunk and very long leaves. One of the cold hardiest chinese Cycas that can also be distinguished by its very tall (up to 1 meter) male cones.

Care : Easy to grow under a variety of climates, will enjoy shade or sun (except in places where the sun is very intense). Keep in a well draining medium and provide heat and water in summer.

Cold hardiness : Given for zone 9a but damages may occur at higher temperatures.
