Item description : Old Cycas platyphylla, from import, with an approx 30cm trunk. The plant for sale is the plant on pictures. As it can be seen on pictures, the crown of leaves isn’t perfect because some of the leaves were a bit deformed at emergence. It’s still an exceptionnal cycad that’s rarely offered for sale at that size. In full sun and dry conditions, the foliage is bluish.
ATTENTION: As you can see, the plant is rooted, but I strongly advise to wait at least 2-3years before repoting. These plants are very fragile, they need a lot of heat, year round! As its a notoriously difficult species, I cannot offer guarantees in case the plant would be to perish in the near future.
Habitat and Description : A nice and variable Cycas from Australia. Some plants are more less blue, young plants to be greener than their parents. Full sun and dry conditions allow the production of compact and glaucous foliage.
