Item description : 1 seedling of Dracaena draco ssp. draco in a 3L pot, seeds come from one of the very few remaining wild populations on Tenerife in the Anaga region. You receive a plant similar to the one on pictures.
Habitat and Description : The classic but famous Dragon Tree endemic of the Canary Islands, Dracaena draco ssp. draco. Found exclusively in the Canary islands but now cultivated in subtropical climates worldwide. The species suffered greatly from the human presence and only a few wild populations remain. One of them is found on Tenerife Island, in the Anaga region.
Care : Easy to grow if given heat and humidity. These plants grow in a greenhouse, they need to be acclimated slowly to the sun if planted outside. Hot and dry conditions make the plants bluer on subadult and adult plants, young plants are green.
Cold hardiness : Given for zone 9b but better to keep frost free
