Item description : One young Drynaria bonii “Dwarf’ in a 15cm pot, the plant is approximately 10-15cm in diameter. You receive a plant similar to the pictured one (it’s unnecessary to ask me for a specific plant from the pictures as they only serve as exemple and are not the exact same plants that are for sale, they are all of top quality and I select only the best to be shipped).
All the ferns I offer were grown by myself from spores or offsets in France, unless stated otherwise. These plants are much easier and healthier than the ones offered imported directly from SE Asia that often go into shock because they were in a very different climate
Habitat and Description : A dwarf and compact form of Drynaria bonii, one of the smallest species in the genus Drynaria. This species tends to creep onto its support thanks to its rhizome that is firmly attached to the surface. On this species the shields are not always present and their function is mostly to protect the rhizome;
Care : Easy to grow but prefers acidic water, if your water is too alkaline it’s better to bath your plant in rainwater or distilled water. The key to success with these epiphytic fern lies in the use of soft water, a sequence of wet/dry soil and temperatures between 20 and 29°C (but they also tolerate warmer and colder temperatures)
Cold hardiness : Purely tropical species.
