Platycerium holttumii XL

Item description : One beautiful specimen of Platycerium holttumii  in a 20cm pot, plant diameter is approximately 30cm. The plant for sale is the plant on pictures. 

All the Platycerium I offer were grown by myself from spores or offsets in France, unless stated otherwise. These plants are much easier and healthier than the ones offered imported directly from SE Asia that often go into shock because they were in a very different climate.

Habitat and Description : A beautiful tropical species from SE Asia. Very closely allied to P. wandae, it can reach very impressive dimensions! Nice greyish foliage.

Care : Easy to grow but prefers acidic water, if your water is too alkaline it’s better to bath your plant in rainwater or distilled water.  Contrary to popular belief, this species is not very difficult to cultivate. These for sale grow at 22-28°C and 50-60% humidity.

Cold hardiness : Purely tropical species.
