Item description : 1 plant of Cornukaempferia aurantiflora, flowering size, in a 1,5L pot. You receive a plant similar to the plant on pictures. Other pictures show the mother plant in bloom.
Habitat and Description : Beautiful little ginger from Thailand with striped leaves and vibrant orange flowers. The plant is in leaf only during the warm season, in winter it’s dormant and survives thanks to its rhizome.
Care : Well draining soil, 50% organic 50% draining mineral (pumice, clay balls, pouzzolane, gravel etc.). This species likes it warm and humid, and half shade if you’re in a mediterranean climate. In autumn, the leaves die and you either take the rhizome out of the oil, or keep the pot with soil completely dry, at minimum 15°C in any case.
