Item description : 10 Euryale ferox seeds, harvested from my plants in Summer 2024 Seeds are shipped in water so that they remain hydrated, they should not dry or it kills them. They can be kept in the fridge until sowing otherwise they may start germinating.
Habitat and Description :Uncommon waterlily from Asia, it looks like the infamous Victoria but smaller in size. Beautiful purple flowers.
Care : Seeds sprout easily in a container with water at room temperature. If you don’t want to sow them now, you can keep them in the refrigerator. Some seeds may not sprout immediately, if they last too long, you can put them back in the fridge and they’ll germinate next season. Once seeds have sprouted they can be grown in a shallow pond with warm water, ideally planting in May or June. This plant grows as an annual here, so seeds should be harvested in autumn and sown again the following spring.
Cold hardiness : Tropical plant, keep frost free and grow as an annual plant.
