Item description : Grafted plant with a 3-4cm caudex grafted onto a 5-7cm Cycas revoluta rootstock. You receive a plant similar to the ones on pictures.
Grafted plant: Thai species grow very slowly under the European climate as they need a lot of heat. They’re also prone to root rot in winter if they’re watered in excess. With the revoluta rootstock, the growth is faster and cultivation much easier.
Habitat and Description : A beautiful Cycas that can be found growing on cliffs in Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar. Plants start to grow vertically and when they become too heavy the trunk progressively bends and acquires an S shape. This species is very resistant to drought and to high temperatures because of the sun that hits the rocks it grow on.
Care : Easy to grow but slow, likes heat and sunny conditions.
Cold hardiness : Sensitive do the combination of cold temperatures and high humidity. To be kept in pot or planted in dry winter area that only freeze occasionaly .
