Cycas panzhihuaensis x debaoensis (TRUE debao!) hybrid

Item description :One seedling of Cycas panzhihuaensis x debaoensis (true debaoensis pollen used!!) in 1,4 liters pot. You receive a plant similar to the pictured ones.

Habitat and Description : Hybrid obtained from the pollination of a female Cycas panzhihuaensis with pollen of Cycas debaoensis. This hybrid is probably virtually unknown in cultivation because all the plants sold as panzhi x debao turned out to be panzhihuaensis x multifrondis instead. I managed to get real debaoensis pollen from a reliable source and despite low germinations, I can offer some seedlings for sale. It should turn into a spectacular plant and must have for hybrid collectors!

Care : Fast growing hybrid, can be grown in full sun or shade. Likes well draining soil but needs a lot of water in summer, especially if grown in full sun.

Cold hardiness : Hardy to zone 9a, probably 8b. More trials need to be made to determine this hybrid’s limits.
