Habitat and Description : Very slow growing Mexican species and still very rare in cultivation. New leaves are brown and become green when they harden.

Care : Slow growing, likes heat and well draining soil. Tolerates limestone very well.

Cold hardiness : Given for zone 9b but not much is known of its cultivation.
