Habitat and Description : The classic but famous Dragon Tree endemic of the Canary Islands, Dracaena draco ssp. draco. Found exclusively in the Canary islands but now cultivated in subtropical climates worldwide. The species suffered greatly from the human presence and on Gran Canaria, it’s considered that only one true individual remails, the Drago de Pino Santo
Care : Easy to grow if given heat and humidity. These plants grow in a greenhouse, they need to be acclimated slowly to the sun if planted outside. Hot and dry conditions make the plants bluer on subadult and adult plants, young plants are green.
Cold hardiness : Given for zone 9b but better to keep frost free
