Item description : Old plant with a 29cm caudex, mature or very close to be. Leaves are 1m in length and the plant is in a 30 liters pot since it was imported with CITES in autumn 2018. The plant for sale is the one on pictures and the CITES import number will be provided with the sales invoice. The plant is rooted (see pictures) and I suggest to wait 1-2 years before next repoting to avoid stress. The plant has an offset that can be separated in a few years.
Habitat and Description : This species from South Africa is very sought after for its ornamental qualities thanks to its robust aspect and blue leaves. One of the easiest to grow.
Since all plants exceeding 15cm in diameter are forbidden to be exported from South Africa, it’s very difficult to find large specimens. A unique occasion to acquire a mature specimen in Europe, allowing to produce seeds and suckers legally.
Cold hardiness : Given for zone 9b (-3°C/-4°C), can tolerate light frosts without damages.
