BEWARE: This is a PRE-ORDER with shipping schedule in May/June 2026(or before if available and you’re ready to get the plant)
Item description : 1 Nymphaea dimorpha “Blue form” plant shipped BARE ROOTED. Flowering size or near. Upon arrival, plant into clay soil, water temperature around 25°C
Habitat and Description : A curious form of Nymphaea dimorpha from the South of Madagascar. When you sow the seeds, you get either pink flowered plants identical to dimorpha, or with blue flowers. It’s likely that these plants are the result of an ancient hybridization with nouchalii. These plants produce tubers while normal dimorpha doesn’t. I will select blue flowered plants to be shipped but if you sow the seeds of these plants you will get both blue and pink plants.
Care : Easy to grow. Water temperature from 18 to 30°C, pH 7-8, varied substrates, no problem with clay. Full sun. If sun exposure is too low, the plant will remain under its subaquatic form. A 5-10L water volume is more than enough. Fertilize often for abundant blooming.
Cold hardiness : Tropical
