Habitat and Description : One of the most tropical species but also one of the largest! The shields can reach 2 meters if the growing conditions are good! In cultivation indoors or in greenhouse, dimensions usually remain more modest.

Care : Easy to grow but prefers acidic water, if your water is too alkaline it’s better to bath your plant in rainwater or distilled water.  Contrary to popular belief, this species is not very difficult to cultivate. These for sale grow at 22-28°C and 50-60% humidity.

Cold hardiness : Purely tropical species.
