Habitat and Description : Rare and beautiful species from Panama with gigantic leaves. It’s found on a small island off the Atlantic coast (and another population on the mainland). It looks similar to Zamia imperialis but with orange emerging leaves. Spectacular plant.
Care : Fairly easy to grow if given conditions close to habitat: draining medium, warm and humid.
WARNING! This species is a pure tropical, it needs minimum 15-20°C at night and 25-30°C during the day to thrive, year round!
Cold hardiness : Given for zone 10a, purely tropical species, to be kept warm even in winter.
