Zamia sp. “Holguin”

Item description : 1 well rooted seedling in a 1,4 liters pot. You receive a plant similar to the ones on pictures.

Habitat and Description : Undescribed species endemic to the area around Holguin in Cuba. This species looks a bit like Zamia pumila but has much narrower and pointed leaflets. The color of the female cones is also quite different. It’s been introduced into cultivation by Italian collectors. It’s interesting to note that young plants look like juvenile Microcycas, a species that is also endemic to Cuba; 

Care : Easy to grow and relatively fast growing for a cycad. Likes heat and well draining growing medium.

Cold hardiness : Given for zone 9b
