Item description : 1 Zamia vazquezii sucker in a 2 liters pot with a 9cm diameter caudex and 2 heads, female plant. The plant for sale is the plant on pictures. This sucker was removed in Autumn 2020 so it’s preferable to wait until 2022 to repot it.
Habitat and Description :Species from Mexico. Common in cultivation and very appreciated for its brown emerging leaves. It’s often mistaken for Cyrtomium ferns especially when it grows into a large bush.
Care : Easy to grow if given heat and humidity. Do not let the young plant dehydrate as they’re very sensitive to the lack of water. Adult plants are more tolerant as long as they are grown in a well draining medium.
Cold hardiness : Given for zone 9b but foliar damage may appear at 0°C/-1°C
