Amorphophallus allenii

Habitat and Description : Beautiful and rare Thai species that was described recently, still extremely rare in cultivation. The leaves are slightly glaucous and deep green with grey dots. The species seems variable with some plants having more or less grey dots, some not having any at all as well.

Care : Easy to grow. Keep warm and water well during summer. When autumn comes and the leaf starts to yellow, stop watering completely and when the leaf has died, get the tuber back from the soil and store dry at room temperature until next spring.

Cold hardiness : Tropical
