Item description : Well developped specimen of Cycas cairnsiana with a 16cm diameter and 22cm tall caudex, in a 30L pot. The plant for sale is the plant on pictures. The leaves were made 2 years ago which explains why they show some damage (see pictures). The plant is healthy and if good conditions are provided, it will make nice blue leaves next summer.
Habitat and Description : One of the bluest species of Australia. Grows in a habitat with very distinct season and high temperatures.
Care : Slow growing and sensitive to rot. Only for heated greenhouse unless you have a subtropical/tropical climate.
DISCLAIMER: Without a heated greenhouse, this species is very difficult to maintain in a European climate! I cannot be held responsible if the plant declines during the next months after the purchase if it’s not kept in optimal conditions.
Cold hardiness : Sensitive do the combination of cold temperatures and high humidity. To be kept in pot or planted in dry winter area that only freeze occasionaly .
