Dioon edule “Dwarf” Double 8cm + 6cm DW2

Item description : 1 plant with 2 caudex of 8 and 6cm, male plant,  in a 10 liters pot. The plant for sale is the pictured one.

Habitat and Description : Very hardy mexican species, on of the most cold hardy Cycad. These plants seem to belong to a dwarf form of the typical species as it starts producing cones, male and female, at a very small size for this species (6-7cm diameter). Some experts suppose that it might be the dwarf form from Veracruz of the Valles locality (pictures can be seen in Loran Whitelock’s The Cycads book)

Cold hardiness : Given for zone 8b (-8°C/-9°C) but foliar damage may occur at higher temperatures.
