Habitat and Description : This Mexican species was thought to be a form of Dioon edule for a long time but was recently recognized as distinct, something confirmed by the genetic testings later. The main features of this species are very narrow leaflets that are well spaced,and sometimes the tip of the leaf making a kind of twist. Care : Very easy to grow as long as it’s given heat, water in summer and good fertilizer. Very slow growth.
Cold hardiness : Given for zone 9a but foliar damage may occur at higher temperatures.
