Platycerium coronarium

Item description : One beautiful specimen of Platycerium coronarium  in a 10cm pot. You receive a plant similar to the ones on pictures. 

SHIPPING: It’s a pure tropical species, so from now on and until March, it’s highly recommended to purchase a 72h heatpack from the shop, without it I cannot guarantee the plant will arrive in good conditions. Also, for all the localities that are not neighboring France (and that includes South Italy, the South of Iberian Peninsula), it’s highly recommended to chose the Express shipping option. 

All the Platycerium I offer were grown by myself from spores or offsets in France, unless stated otherwise. These plants are much easier and healthier than the ones offered imported directly from SE Asia that often go into shock because they were in a very different climate.

Habitat and Description : Epiphytic fern from SE Asia, it reaches impressive dimensions and has very long fertile fronds that sometimes take the shape of ribbons; Very tropical looking species. The name “coronarium” means “crowned”

Care : Easy to grow but prefers acidic water, if your water is too alkaline it’s better to bath your plant in rainwater or distilled water.  Contrary to popular belief, this species is not very difficult to cultivate. These for sale grow at 22-28°C and 50-60% humidity. T

Cold hardiness : Purely tropical species.
