Habitat and Description : Beautiful tropical species from the beaches of the islands of Bocas del Toro in Panama. Large leaves with wide leaflets, very lush aspect. The name “nesophila” means “who lives in/who likes islands”. These plants are an horticultural selection by Greg Holzman who crossed plants with the largest leaflets. The difference can already be seen on small seedlings.
Care : Fairly easy to grow if given conditions close to habitat: draining medium, warm and humid.
WARNING! This species is a pure tropical, it needs minimum 15-20°C at night and 25-30°C during the day to thrive, year round!
Cold hardiness : Given for zone 10a, purely tropical species, to be kept warm even in winter.
