Habitat and Description : Hybrid between Zamia portoricensis that has very narrow leaflets and Zamia sp. Baracoa with very wide ones. This hybrid has never been done befor so it’s hard to say what it will look lie whenmature but the young plants already have copper colored new leaves thanks to the influence of the Baracoa father that has brown emergent leaves.
Cultivation : Easy to grow, well draining medium is needed. This species will prefer a warm and humid environment, but it can tolerate cooler and drier conditions. Have a look at the Zamia cultivation article in the “Horticulture” section of the website to get more info.
