Habitat and Description : Rare mexican species. Until recently it was included in Dioon merolae but morphological and genetic studies have shown that it’s very distinct. The leaflets are arranged differently, usually flat unlike merolae that has them in a “venetian blind” style and they’re more spiny .
Care : Very easy to grow as long as it’s given heat, water in summer and good fertilizer.
Cold hardiness : Zone 9b, maybe 9a, needs to be tested.
