Cycas revoluta x DEBAOENSIS (TRUE DEBAO!) Grade B

Item description : One well established Cycas revoluta x debaoensis in a 1.4L pot.caudex approximately 3cm .You receive a plant similar to the plants on pictures. Very limited availability

2 grades available: “A” that already has very divided leaves, and “B” that doesn’t show divisions yet. One of the parents being debaoensis, even the non divided ones will be divided at some point, but it’s impossible to predict what they will look like.

Habitat and Description : Hybrid obtained from the pollination of a female Cycas revoluta with pollen of Cycas debaoensis. The pollen I used comes from a male originally from the type location for debaoensis (Fuping). Those who know me already know that I discovered that basically all the Cycas revoluta x debaoensis offered for sale turned out to be Cycas revoluta x multifrondis actually. Thus the real Cycas revoluta x debaoensis is extremely rare. Leaves of this hybrid should be much more robust and more divided than revoluta x multifrondis.

Care : Fast growing hybrid, can be grown in full sun or shade. Likes well draining soil but needs a lot of water in summer, especially if grown in full sun.

Cold hardiness : Hardy to zone 9a, probably 8b. More trials need to be made to determiner this hybrid’s limits.
